The summer sun is falling soft on Carbery's hundred isles. . .
The Sack of Baltimore, Thomas Davis (1814-45)
Across the harbour from Baltimore the West Cork coastline merges into the myriad islands and rocky islets known collectively as Carbery’s Hundred Isles. Separated from the mainland — if only by a few hundred yards in some cases — each of the three main inhabited islands has a unique personality. They are special places to visit, while the waters around them hold plenty of possibilities for kayakers, sailors, divers, anglers and watchers of wildlife.
